EXPERT: TURKEY PRESENTLY DOES ITS BEST TO POSITION ITSELF AS COUNTRY WITH NO PROBLEMS

Armenia should have declared to international community that Turkey
failed Armenian-Turkish negotiation process, changing the rules of the
game halfway. Giro Manoyan, ARF Dashnaktsutyun leader and Armenian
Cause office Head, stated at the press conference today. According
to him, the similar statements of Armenian side "would shift pressure
onto Turkey."
"Today the main objective of Turkey is to demonstrate that
Armenian-Turkish negotiations are progressing. It is the only way to
prevent any third country's interference in the process," Manoyan
said, underlining that Turkey presently does its best to position
itself as a country with no problems. Turkish side strives to settle
the problems related to ethnic minorities as soon as possible.
Commenting on Georgia's withdrawal from CIS, Manoyan added that Armenia
currently is in the intricate situation, as it would be deprived of
border with CIS. However, he hopes that "Georgian authorities would
be sound enough not to create new obstacles for Armenia."
