EPIDEMIC SITUATION IN ARMENIA IN RESPECT OF H1N1 VIRUS IS CALM

YEREVAN, AUGUST 19, ARMENPRESS: The epidemic situation among the
population of Armenia in respect of the H1N1 virus is calm in the
republic. Anti-epidemic events of prevention of the entrance of the
virus to the republic are still in process. An official from the
Health Ministry said that the monitoring of the health of passengers
arriving in Armenia continues.
According to the report of the World Health Organization published
August 17 the epidemic situation in the world continues being tensed
involving new countries which presented official statement about
177,457 cases of H1N1 virus including 1,462 death cases.
The USA Center of Oversight of Diseases informed that in USA as of
August 13 in 51 states and 4 regions 7,511 cases hospitalization have
been registered 477 with lethal end.
