INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SUBJECT OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE TO BE HELD IN LEBANON

BEIRUT, AUGUST 25, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. An international
academic conference on the subject The Armenian Genocide and the
International Law will be held between September 3 to 4 at Haykazian
University on the initiative of the University and the Middle East Hay
Dat Office. According to the joint report of the Haykazian University
and the Middle East Hay Dat Office, issues of denial and recognition of
the Armenian Genocide will be discussed from scientific point of view,
problems of liquidation of consequences of the Genocide and Armenian
people's rights will be considered within the law, and assistance will
be provided to Genocide's passing to a new stage at the conference.
Historians, genocide scholars and specialists of international law
from Egypt, Switzerland, Turkey, Ireland, Lebanon, Armenia, England,
United States of America, and Canada will take part in the two-day
conference. The materials of the conference will be published by an
individual book, which will include such studies as The Problem of
Minorities and Majorities: Ottoman Empire's Future, The Armenian
Genocide According to Arab Sources, International Diary of the
60-Year-Old Genocide: Problems, Prospects, Professional Morality and
Denial of Armenian Genocide.
