PARTICIPANTS OF COME HOME PROGRAM VISIT KHOR VIRAP

YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The participants
of the third stage of the Come Home program visited Khor Virap complex
on August 24.
After a regular interactive lesson the participants took the cameras
and left for the monastery-castle. The children were impressed by the
history of the monastery as if they discovered for anew the events
concerning the 1700 years old history of the strong and graceful
Khor Virap.
The lively atmosphere lasted till Artashat, the regional center
of Ararat.
Regional Governor Vardgez Hovakimian and Deputy Governor Samvel
Minasian met the participants of the program. The cultural program
which was held by the regional council was full of Armenian folk
songs and dances. The Diasporan Armenian young people being inspired
by the lively rhythms of Armenian dances did not lose their heads
and joining the participants of the concert took a round dance.
The program of the day was full and pithy.
The photos of the events will remind the participants of the Come
Home program of the unforgettable days spent in their Homeland for
a long time.
