SAFRASTYAN: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PRESS ARMENIA

"If Turkey fails the ratification for Armenian-Turkish protocols,
Armenia can leave the negotiations with Turkey using the international
law," said Director of the Oriental Studies Institute of the National
Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Prof. Ruben Safrastyan.
When asked about last statement by Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmed
Davudoglu, who again linked the Armenian-Turkish relations and the
Karabakh conflict, Prof. Safrastyan said it is not for the first
time that such kind of statements are being made. Turkey just wants
to press Armenia and make it step back in Karabakh-related issues.
"Unfortunately, neither Turkey's leaders, nor its diplomacy
understand that it is impossible to press Armenia through such kind
of statements."
Prof. Safrastyan added that these statements have a goal to press
America: "This is a traditional Turkish diplomacy."
