The 17th sitting of the foreign ministers of the participant-countries
of the Organization for security and cooperation of Europe was
accomplished by accepting the ministerial common statement concerning
the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh Conflikt.
The 56 ministers welcomed the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group
Co-Chairs together with the foreign ministers Sergey Lavrow, Bernard
Cushner and the vice-state secretary James Steinberg, and the statement
of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Aserbaijan Edward Nalbandyan
and Elmar Mamediarow made on the 1st of December.
"We appeal to the both sites to keep the negotiation-presses as
positive as possible and we also contribute their decisions, according
to which they want to accomplish the Nagorno Karabakh Conflikt due to
the principle of peaceful settlement, based on the Madrid-Document,
to start the projecting of the peace-agreement.
The ministers stated their readiness to work more intensively, and to
help each other by solving the problems, to come to an end-decision
connected with the Helsinky-Act and the self-determination. We assure,
that today the real possibilities exist for building a peaceful and
functioning future in the region" - was said in the common statement
of the 56 countries.
