maximum number of deaths in 2009 was caused by cancer. Armenia is
among top five countries with high mortality from cancer, Khachanush
Hakobyan, executive director of Armenian-American Health Center told
a press conference on December 4.
According to her, 176 thousand people were examined within the last
12 years of in the center, 92 thousand patients have passed diagnostic
mammograms. 5 thousand 750 cases of breast cancer were identified.
Only 26,500 women had no pathology.
Armenian-American Health Center in Armenia diagnosed breast cancer
among 7 men, which is the result of endocrine, hormonal changes.
