Stepanakert Press Club

ArmInfo. "One should not take seriously Baku's statements on
resumption of military actions, since unleashing war is not easy. It
requires serious political, economic and other calculations," Gegham
Baghdasaryan, NKR parliamentarian, President of the Stepanakert Press
Club, said during the meeting of the NKR Council of NGOs and public
Experts on Friday, ArmInfo correspondent to Stepanakert reported.
He said that logic and psychology of today's negotiations dictate such
threats. Speculating on this, Azerbaijan has demonstrated that it will
not go on concessions and tries to present its refusal from forced
settlement of the conflict as the best concession. "It would be more
logical if Armenia and not the defeated party dictated its
conditions," he said. The parliamentarian demanded the NKR authorities
to demonstrate a clear position on the settlement process. "If we are
against the Madrid principles, we must not allow the Armenian
authorities to negotiate on those principles," he said.
