Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by UAE State
Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash.
Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister made a point of developing
multifaceted relationship with the United Arab Emirates and noted
that the bilateral cooperation has already yielded tangible results
in the spheres of mining industry and real estate development.
Thanking the Prime Minister for his kind remarks, Dr Anwar Mohammed
Gargash went on to express his sympathy on the earthquake anniversary.
He agreed that trade and economic ties should be expanded and, in
this context, backed the idea of establishing an intergovernmental
commission to streamline and implement programs of mutual interest.
Pleased with the sustained dynamics of cooperation, Tigran Sargsyan
hailed the UAE government's readiness to co-finance the reconstruction
Arpa-Sevan tunnel and evoked the possibility of making investments
in agriculture, jewelry, diamond processing, chemical industry,
infrastructures, energy etc.
At the request of his guest, Prime Minister Sargsyan briefed him on
recent developments in the Armenian-Turkish dialog. In conclusion,
views were exchanged on regional issues.
