/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The European Union has voiced concerns over Turkish
Constitutional Court's decision to ban the Pro-Kurdish Democratic
Society Party (DTP).
According to Swedish representative in EU, the regulation violates
Kurdish minority's rights `While strongly denouncing violence and
terrorism, the presidency recalls that the dissolution of political
parties is an exceptional measure that should be used with utmost
restraint," the EU's Swedish presidency said in a statement, Reuters
reported.
Turkey's Constitutional Court has voted to ban the country's largest
pro-Kurdish party because of alleged links with Kurdish separatist
rebels. The decision has mounted a wave of countrywide protests.
