ARMENIA AMONG TOP THREE RELIABLE PARTNERS OF RUSSIA: RUSSIAN PUBLIC OPINION RESEARCH CENTER (VCIOM)

ArmInfo. Armenia has proved among the top three reliable partners of
Russia, says the poll conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research
Center (VCIOM) on Nov 21-22 2009. A total of 1.6 thousand people were
polled in 140 populated areas in 42 regions, districts and republics
of the Russian Federation. Statistical discrepancy does not exceed
3.4%. Thus, 8% of the polled ranked Armenia the third partner of
Russia after Belarus (43%) and Kazakhstan (31%).
RBC reports that the other CIS member-states are ranked deep in the
bottom of the list: Azerbaijan and Ukraine were given by 4% of votes,
Kyrghyzstan, Moldavia, Turkmenia and Uzbekistan by 3%. Tajikistan
and Georgia were given by 2% and 1% of votes, respectively.
Nevertheless, the citizens of Russia do not trust in President of
Armenia Serzh Sargayan much. He received only 3% of the votes of the
polled and took the 7th position in the list of the CIS leaders.
President of Belarus A. Lukashenko and President of Kazakhstan N.
Nazarbayev received 33% and 28% respectively. Then goes Ilham Aliyev,
President of Azerbaijan (6%). The lowest was the rating of M.
Saakashvili, President of Georgia (1%).
