Statement voiced by the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
on Iran's ties with certain Latin American states is violation of
international norms, said Iranian Foreign Minister Ramin Mehmanparast,
Press TV reports.
Mehmanparast also stated that the countries of Bolivarian Alliance
of Americas (ALBA), including Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia,
Ecuador, Honduras and Dominica unanimously condemned Clinton's remark.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called on Latin
American states not to promote ties with Iran. "I think if people want
to flirt with Iran, they should take a look at what the consequences
might well be for them. And we hope that they will think twice and
we will support them if they do," BBC quoted Clinton as saying.
