BRUNO SCAPINI: NKR PEOPLE ARE ON THE WAY TO SELF-DETERMINATION

its borders. Hence, Karabakh conflict has acquired the status of
international vs. regional crisis, Italian Ambassador to Armenia Bruno
Scapini told today a round table discussion organized by Armenian
Center of National and International Studies (ACNIS).
At that, he noted that Turnin University Professor Luca Guiduzzi's
studies in Nagorno Karabakh had social context which could be helpful
in political sphere as well.
In that regard, Italian diplomat stressed the importance of
viewing NKR Armenians' psychology from two angles: national and
social-cultural. Touching upon the former, he pointed out to Soviet
time traditions surviving in their everyday life to the present day.
With regard to the second aspect, "it testifies to the serious impact
of historical developments on people's mentality," Scapini noted.
On Friday, December 18, the Armenian Center of National and
International Studies (ACNIS) hosted a round table discussion in which
Italian scholar, Turin University Professor Luca Guiduzzi introduced
the results of his studies in Nagorno Karabakh.
