New Year parade of Winter Festival passed in Yerevan

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ In the framework of Winter Festival Armenia 2009 New
Year parade stretched from the Yerevan City Hall's park to the Park of
Lovers accompanied by a brass band. Children had the opportunity to
communicate with Santa Claus and Snow Maiden. The Park of Lovers
hosted a real celebration, exhibitions of Christmas trees, tasting of
traditional Armenian dishes, Winter Fair and other events. "This
festival aims to make the winter life of our city fun and festive. I
hope that this holiday will become traditional, "chairman of the
Kanachastan NGO Raffi Niziblyan said.
The parade was attended by about 1000 residents of Yerevan and guests
of the Armenian capital. "Winter Festival" will last until January 6.
Residents of Yerevan will also have an opportunity to see a Christmas
play in Abovyan street near the Church Katoghike.
Winter Festival of Armenia 2009 is held the third time with assistance
of ministries of economy, culture, Yerevan municipality, the fund
BOGOSSIAN GARDENS. Deem Communications is co-organizer of the
festival.
