Armenian distributor Microring will look to add to its product
portfolio at DISTREE XXL 2010Armenian distributor Microring will
look to add to its product portfolio at DISTREE XXL 2010. Microring,
which was established in 1990, will attend EMEA's premier distribution
event aiming to secure new distribution deals with vendors from a
variety of product segments including anti-virus products, components
for PC assembly, UPS products and accessories as well as notebooks
    and netbooks.

DISTREE XXL 2010, which takes place from February 8-11th in Monaco
attracts distributors from 80-plus countries from across the EMEA
region. The event offers vendors a cost-effective platform to launch,
build or manage distribution channels and meet partners from across
    the region.

Microring offers a range of hardware, software and networking kit. The
company is mainly focused on the city of Yerevan but also gives
vendors access to the wider Armenian market through its network of
    reseller partners.

Rostom Malkhasyan, general director at Microring, said: "Conditions
have been tough and sales volumes have declined by up to 40% in the
Armenian market in 2009. But at the same time the volume of notebooks
and netbooks has shot up. This mainly due to the finance schemes
being offered by banks to help customers purchase these products."

In addition to its distribution business, Microring also operates as
a systems integrator in its own right and has a client base including
many large accounts in Armenia ranging from public sector organisation
    to international banks.

"In 2010, we hope that we are in a position to bring new technologies
to the Armenian market," added Malkhasyan. "We will also look to
improve our customer support services and plan to participate in some
of the large IT projects that are planned."

"Distributors are well treated by most of the vendors [operating
in Armenia] and the market situation is well evaluated by these
companies," Malkhasyan continued. "But there are still some vendors
that increase the minimum sales targets to levels that are impossible
    to reach."

DISTREE XXL 2010 Top distributors from across the EMEA region are
attending DISTREE XXL 2010, the premier event for the regional ICT
and CE channel, from February 8-11th in Monaco.

DISTREE XXL gathers 400-plus senior executives from EMEA's Information
Communications Technologies (ICT) & Consumer Electronics (CE) volume
distribution channel. During the course of the three-day event,
delegates take part in thousands of pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings
with hundreds of vendors. Each year, hundreds of new distribution
agreements are struck across EMEA as a result of business relationships
    initiated at DISTREE XXL.

DISTREE XXL 2010 will also build on successful initiatives launched at
last year's sold out event including a regional awards ceremony. The
'EMEA Channel Academy: 2010 Awards' will include more than a dozen
awards handed out to vendors and distributors from across the region.
