TURKEY-ARMENIA NEGOTIATIONS SHOULD BE COORDINATED WITH AZERBAIJAN, SAAKASHVILI

Mikheil Saakashvili "I think the countries should contact, peoples
    should communicate."

"Well, first of I all, I have heard very optimistic "we are on the
verge of progress" statements from the European diplomats for all these
years and it has always seemed to me that this is just an attempt
to set up the desired for the reality", Georgian President Mikheil
Saakashvili said answering the question from Echo Moskvy correspondent.

The problem is complicated and Russia is a main key to this issue.

There is only one receipt for the settlement of all problems. These are
direct negotiations of these countries and respect to international
law, including the right of people to return to their homelands and
    to state sovereignty.

Therefore, this situation remains changeless and there is always
a potential for worsening. To have the improvement, I think the
countries should contact, peoples should communicate, therefore, the
negotiations ongoing between Turkey and Armenia should, certainly,
be coordinated with Azerbaijan. But anyway, talks are always good,
any progress is always positive. When there is some progress, people
start to trade, communicate and get used to each other. These problems
are all protracted with mine fields and barblocks. When there is no
barblock, people will be able to settle their problems sometimes even
    without the government.

Certainly, we are so far stuck in this situation. I do not want to
call this situation the status quo. Our situation showed that there
is no status quo at all. There is always a situation when one should
    always be on alert.
