TURKS' DISHONEST STEP

"Serge Sargsyan and I have repeatedly stated that that question will
be discussed only when the Turkish parliament takes a decision. We
expect that the Turkish parliament will discuss and ratify the
protocols in reasonable periods, otherwise, we will take up steps
which will correspond to the steps made by them", said the NA speaker
Hovik Abrahamyan on December 24. By the way, this was the first press
conference of the NA speaker since he has assumed his office one year
and a half ago. The latter stressed that Turkey is expected to ratify
the protocols in reasonable terms "after which we will try to discuss
and ratify them too".
As to the statement of the Turkish officials which connect the Armenian
and Turkish relations with the NKR issue, Hovik Abrahamyan noted,
"Any official is dishonest to make such statements because since
the beginning we agreed to establish diplomatic relations without
preconditions. It is present in the protocols too. They try to
connect this issue with the NKR and genocide issues I think it is a
dishonest step".
