ALVARD PEROSYAN: HASTINESS IN ARMENIAN-TURKISH NORMALIZATION UNACCEPTABLE

"Throughout 2009 the Armenian nation was at the crossroads of
the Armenian-Turkish relations. Some were saying "yes" without
understanding why. Others were saying "no" without mentioning any
sound reason," writer and publicist, MP Alvard Petrosyan told a press
conference today.
According to her, the reason of uncertainty is that the
Armenian-Turkish issue is first of all a psychological one. It's
possible to take concrete steps only after this psychological barrier
is overcome.
Generally not being against the normalization, the MP considers that
hastiness is unacceptable here.
Alvard Petrosyan believes that in 2010 time will move forward. She
wishes that the Armenian society is not divided into blacks and whites,
that Armenians manage to debate with each other without hostility.
