YEREVAN HOSTS FIRST POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS BETWEEN RA AND UAE FOREIGN MINISTRIES

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The first political consultations between the Foreign
Ministries of Armenia and United Arab Emirates were held Friday in
RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Armenian delegation was headed by
Deputy FM Arman Kirakosyan, while UAE delegation was headed by the
country's First Deputy Foreign Minister Tarek Al Heydan.
The consultations were held in two stages, the first stage devoted to
political, regional and international issues and the second focusing
on trade-economic and cultural-educational cooperation. Armenian
side expressed willingness to extend political ties with United
Arab Emirates.
Parties also discussed regional issues, attaching major importance to
peaceful settlement of Near East conflict. UAE Deputy FM introduced
Arab countries' approach to the problem.
UAE delegation also met with RA Vice Premier, Minister of Territorial
Administration Armen Gevorgyan and Minister of Economy Nerses
