DIASPORA MINISTRY HOME FOR DIASPORA PEOPLE

2010 is going to be the year of our mother tongue, Armenian Minister
of Diaspora Hranush Hakobian told at news conference. The Minister
declared after one year of tough working experience that the new
Diaspora Ministry has implemented comprehensive and multisided
activities and equal to other ministries. When cooperating with
Diaspora, the ministry adopted three slogans - to recognize, to
trust and to cooperate; to support, to dialogue and not to disturb;
pan-national issues - development of independent Armenian state,
security of Armenian and Artsakh boarders, peaceful resolution of
Artsakh conflict. The ministry registered 1300 visitors and 1089 of
them were people from Diaspora. They've submitted various applications
to the Diaspora Ministry. "It's not by chance that I declare Diaspora
Ministry is home for Diaspora," Minister said stating that "model of
Armenian home" is to be deeply experienced in Diaspora.
