Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA. "I finished military service seven
months ago, in July, 2008.
After returning, I visited odnoklasniki.ru website and posted my
photos taken during the military service and several others on the
website. I think my photo shown on Armenian media was taken from
odnoklasniki.ru website," former soldier of Azerbaijani Interior
Troops Vusal Hasanov told APA.
Armenia-based Versiya newspaper (versiya.am) writes that soldier of
Azerbaijani Army, Vusal Hasanov, 23, who was drafted from Sumgayit,
appealed to Armenian leadership and asked help saying he underwent
pressure in the military unit. The newspaper writes that Hasanov
said in his letter the commander of the military unit asked money and
units from him. The soldier said he could not bear, wanted to leave
for Armenia and then cross the third country.
Vusal Hasanov told APA that he knew neither of the photos, nor of
the letter published on Armenian websites.
He knew about it when he was called to the Sumgayit Military
Commissariat. "Armenians are writing that as if I, Azerbaijani soldier,
sent a letter two-three days ago. I have to not that I finished my
military service seven months ago. I don't know Russian, but the
letter was written by the people fluent in Russian and it is clear
that it was fabricated. Armenians took my photo on Internet and they
are trying to stain the Azerbaijani soldier and army".
Hasanov said he served in the best supplied military unit and didn't
face with any problem there. He was awarded by the commanders for many
times. "My commanders and my fellow soldiers can confirm it. They
noted in the letter that as if I said the soldiers were beaten and
offended for the contours. I didn't face with such facts during the
military service. I never called home to ask to load contours to the
phone of any officer".
Hasanov, 24 graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of
Economics. He was registered at the Sumgayit City Military Commissariat
in July, 2007 and served in the army for a year.
Odnoklasniki.ru is a portal of acquaintance. The users created groups
of different military units with the information about their numbers,
names and places of deployment.
