On February 13, the Prosecutor Generals of Armenia and Russia Aghvan
Hovsepyan and Yuri Chayka signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for
2009-2011.
The Memorandum envisages the following priority areas of action,
- protection of human and civilian rights and freedoms
- fight against corruption
- combat against terrorism, organised crime, trafficking, and illegal
circulation of weapons and drugs
- revelation and seizure of hidden incomes
The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation arrived in Armenia
on February 12 for a working visit.
