    RUSSIA, ARMENIA: AGREEMENT TO CREATE AIR DEFENSE NETWORK

    Nikolai Bordyuzha, secretary-general of the Collective Security Treaty
    Organization (CSTO) said Feb. 13 that Russia and Armenia will create an
    integrated air defense network, RIA Novosti reported. Bordyuzha said
    the network is similar to the one between Russia and Belarus and is
    part of the agreement of the CSTO. The CSTO, which includes Russia,
    Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan,
    is scheduled to create three regional air defense networks in Belarus,
    the Caucasus and Central Asia. Bordyuzha said the CSTO "will advance
    to a higher level of cooperation" after the network is established.
