IMF: 0 TO 0.5% WORLD ECONOMIC GROWTH EXPECTED IN 2009

YEREVAN, February 17. /ARKA/. The world economy is to grow 0 to 0.5%
in 2009, International Monetary Fund forecasts.
IMF Executive Director Age Bakker, speaking Tuesday before Yerevan
State University's students, said that economic growth in developed
countries is expected to slow down.
He said that leading manufacturers, such as China and Japan will
record three- to-four-percent economic growth instead of nine or ten
planned earlier.
Developing countries will face slowdown as well.
