Within the framework of his visit to Lebanon, the Foreign Minister of
Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, was received by the President of Lebanon,
    Michel Suleiman.

Greeting the Foreign Minister, the President of Lebanon said the
Lebanese people feel special sympathy for the Armenian nation. Highly
appreciating the close friendly relations existing between the two
countries, President Suleiman noted that those are greatly promoted
by the Armenian community of Lebanon.

Michel Suleiman asked to convey his greetings to the President of
    Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.

Edward Nalbandian handed to Michel Suleiman the message of the Armenian
President and an invitation to visit Armenia. He noted that Armenia
ranks high the warm and mutually beneficial relations with Lebanon
and underlined that Lebanon is the country in the Arab world, with
which Armenia has an Agreement of Friendship.

During the meeting President Suleiman and Minister Nalbandian exchanged
views on the perspectives of development of bilateral relations,
discussed the opportunities of solving the issues existing in the
Middle East and the South Caucasus, as well as the steps taken in
the direction of reinforcement of stability and security in Lebanon.

In Beirut Edward Nalbandian met with the President of Parliament of
    Lebanon Nabih Berri.

The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament hailed the cooperation between
the two countries in different spheres and said the Parliament would
take extra efforts for further deepening of relations.

The interlocutors discussed the ways of intensification of
interparliamentary ties. The parties attached importance to the
reciprocal visits of parliamentary delegations and the activity of
    Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
