GAS SUPPLY NETWORK INSTALLATION PROGRAM IMPLEMENTED BY 115.4% IN ARMENIA IN 2008

YEREVAN, JANUARY 13, NOYAN TAPAN. 573,955 subscribers were connected to
Armenia's gas system as of January 1, 2009. According to the website
of ArmRusgazprom CJSC, the 2008 gas supply network installation
program envisaged connecting 50,000 suscribers to the gas system,
while 57,686 were actually connected, and the program was implemented
by 155.4%. The number of subscribers grew by 6,952 in December. The
gas supply network installation for 109 objects was completely
implemented. By the program, the annual investments amounted to 3.2
bln drams or 10.4 mln USD.
According to the same source, during the January 10 consultation,
the Director General and Chairman of the Board of ArmRusgazprom
CJSC Karen Karapetian assessed positively the programs implemented
in 2008. He said that the 2009 programs should be implemented with
greater efficiency, paying special attention to the quality of provided
services and the improvement of the management system.
The average daily consumption of natural gas has made 9 million cubic
meters in Armenia since January 1, 2009.
