ARMENIA ASKS RUSSIA FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Armenia has appealed to Russia to allocate a stabilization loan,
Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aleksey Kudrin
has told [Russian] RIA Novosti agency.
The Russian official did not specify the amount and terms of the loan
to be allocated to Armenia, noting that negotiations are under way.
Speaking in this regard, Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan said
that Armenia is holding similar negotiations with all its partners
in the trade and economic spheres, including the World Bank, the
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian banks and
Russia, in order to overcome the results of the financial crisis.
Armenia expects to get several-million-dollar-loan which will revive
the Armenian economy, Tigran Davtyan said.
