    The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Mattew Bryza (USA), Yuri
    Merzlyakov (Russia), Bernard Fassier (France) released a joint
    statement over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.

    As informed a REGNUM, it is says it the document, that on January,
    28 in Zurich had been organized a meeting of the President of Armenia
    Serzh Sargsyan and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in
    accordance to the results of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs visits
    to Yerevan and Baku and their meetings with the Foreign Ministers of
    two countries Edward Nalbandyan and Elmar Mammadyarov. The Co-Chairs
    get acquainted with the positions of both Presidents concerning basic
    principles of settlement of the conflict, due to course of the talks.

    "The Co-Chairs submitted the two Presidents their proposals to finalize
    the Basic Principles on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh
    conflict, proceeding from the proposal presented to the sides at the
    OSCE Ministerial Conference in Madrid in November 2007", it is said in
    the document. It is stressed, that the Co-Chairs agreed to work with
    the Foreign Ministers on elaborating proposals for the consideration
    of the two Presidents on the most important remaining differences
    between the sides. "The Co-Chairs hope, in the near future, sides
    will be able to overcome remaining disagreements to provide a peace
    agreement, which is far better than, status quo for all parties. Their
    goal is a just and balanced agreement based on the principles of
    territorial integrity, self-determination, and non-use of force,
    set in the Helsinki Final Act", -- summed up in the statement.
