TURKISH, ARMENIAN PRESIDENTS HOLD LANDMARK MEETING

YEREVAN: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Armenian
President Serzh Sarkisian have held their first bilateral talks as they
seek to end decades of enmity, the Armenian presidency said on Friday.
"President Sarkisian and Prime Minister Erdogan considered their first
meeting as positive and charged the foreign ministers of both countries
to put additional efforts into normalising relations," it said.
Turkey and Armenia have no diplomatic ties and their border has been
closed for more than a decade.
