Darchinyan to destroy Arce, experts say
    30.01.2009 21:55 GMT+04:00

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ World Super Flyweight Champion Vic "Raging Bull"
Darchinyan will defend his unified junior bantamweight titles against
Jorge Arce at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., on Feb. 7 in the
season premiere of "Showtime Championship Boxing."

"If I were Arce's team, I'd MapQuest the quickest routes from the
Honda Center to John Wayne Airport so he can get out of town fast,"
said Darchinyan from his Las Vegas-based training camp.

"As my promoter Gary Shaw said, they decided to serve "Chicken a la
Arce" two weeks early. What a shock. Mexicans are great fighters. Arce
is a disgrace to all of them. He is a clown. He should change his ring
name from 'Travieso' to 'Travesty' because that's what he is. I
promise that I will demolish him just like I demolished Mijares. I
will let him be a coward for the first two rounds where he can run
around the ring. He can even wear his stupid cowboy hat. But after
that, I am going to be on him like a mongoose on a cobra. He does not
stand a chance. Interim Champion is the perfect description of his
    so-called title reign," he said.

In every which way you look at this fight, it seems like Arce, 29, has
little chance at winning. Indeed, this fight seems like a fight
destined to be a terrible mismatch with Darchinyan ultimately
destroying Arce, specialists say. Head of Red Stars Boxing head and
Darchinyan's former manager Eduard Humashian forecasts Vic's victory
    with a sixth-round knock-out.

Meanwhile, Arce pretends to be confident of his victory.

"He thinks he's an intimidator. He always tells people what he will do
and they get intimidated. But, I'm not that type of guy. His words
won't affect me. He can say and talk about what he is going to do to
me in the ring, but I'm not going to fold. I'm a bigger guy than
him. He won't intimidate me," he said.
