/PanARMENIAN.Net/ As to whether the "football diplomacy" will produce
tangible results will become evident in October-November 2009,
Eurointegration NGO's Chair Karen Bekaryan told a news conference
in Yerevan. "I don't share the opinion that 'football diplomacy'
produced no result. The passiveness observed at present will turn into
an active process at the end of October or beginning of November,"
the expert noted.
With regard to Karabakh settlement process, he stressed the importance
of anticipating new proposals, "Package solution is out of the
question. MG co-chairs will very probably propose new approaches
towards clauses not agreed upon," the expert said.
According to Bekaryan, Armenian-Tutkish normalization and Karabakh
settlement are really parallel processes, the question is whether
they will intersect. "The processes can be said to be parallel at
present. And in some sense, it is advantageous both for Armenia and
the entire region," he added.
