228 CONVICTS RELEASED FROM ARMENIAN PENITENTIARY INSTITUTIONS BY AMNESTY AS OF JUNE 29

YEREVAN, JULY 1, NOYAN TAPAN. According to the RA National Assembly
June 19 decision On Granting an Amnesty, 228 convicts were released
from RA Justice Ministry's penitentiary institutions as of June
29. Arsen Babayan, the Spokesperson of Ministry's Penitentiary
Department head, informed Noyan Tapan about it on June 30.
According to the information presented, 44 convicts were released from
Nubarashen penitentiary institution, 15 from Artik, 15 Vanadzor,
5 Goris, 55 Erebuni, 19 Sevan, 1 Yerevan-Kentron, 23 Kosh, 24
Vardashen, 7 Hospital of Convicts, 5 from women's department, 3
from under-age department, 2 from open correctional establishment of
Abovian penitentiary institution, 2 Hrazdan, 8 convicts were released
from Meghri penitentiary institution.
