ArmInfo. South Caucasus Railway (SCR) CJSC will open the season of
Yerevan-Batumi train on July 15, Marat Khakov, Deputy Director General
of SCR CJSC for Infrastructure told media on Thursday.
He said the passage tariffs will not grow: a night-coach ticket will
cost 10.6 thousand drams and a compartment ticket will coast 21.5
thousand drams.
The train will leave on uncountable days and will arrive at the
destination point in some 18 hours. The time was reduced by 40 minute
due to the work carried out within June. In addition, SCR is going
to provide a VIP-carriage for 7 people. The leasing tariff will
total 500,000 drams. The VIP-carriage will consist of a restaurant,
bar and night-coaches. "The innovation may seem unusual but we have
already met with representatives of the business-elite who expressed
desire to leave for Batumi in VIP-salon. It does not mean that we
have neglected other clients. We will provide passengers with meal
and a broad spectrum of additional services", M. Khakov said.
