/PanARMENIAN.Net/ RA Ministry of Transport and Communication and
South Caucasian Railways CJSC are conducting talks for reconstructing
Ijevan-Kazakh railway section, Transport Minister Gourgen Sargsyan
said. The section which hasn't operated for 15 years has suffered
great damages.
Vanadzor-Dilijan railroad (48 km.) also attracts special attention,
the Minister said. "The construction of the road will ensure the
uninterrupted work of Armenia's railway network," he said.
Despite the existing obstacles, including Armenia's closed border
from the east and west, the implementation of the projects will unite
the country's railway network, connecting separate regions with one
another, Sargsyan noted.
Upon the initiative of RA Transportation and Communication Ministry
and Hayastan All Armenian Foundation, Yerevan hosted the presentation
of high-speed road and South West projects. Project concepts were
implemented by big Austrian iLF companies, under the funding of
"Concern MON-ARKH" OJSC.
