ACTIVISTS CARRYING OUT NOTIFICATION OF ANC JULY 2 RALLY ATTACKED

YEREVAN, JULY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. On July 1, at about 20:00, in Yerevan
Abovian street, a group of non-identified persons, some of which were
armed, attacked activists carrying out notification of the Armenian
National Congress July 2 rally. Trying to take away the microphone
and leaflets from the young people, they delivered blows to the
activists. According to the ANC report, Congress supporters Sahak
Muradian, Herbert Gevorgian, and Tigran Arakelian were hospitalized
with different bodily injuries.
