INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION IN CIS REDUCE BY 16 PER CENT OVER JANUARY-MAY

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Over January-May this year the industrial production
in CIS countries fell by 16 per cent on average compared to the
same period last year. The industrial growth of 1.3 per cent was
recorded only in Azerbaijan against the same period last year, data
the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth reports.
Other CIS countries experienced decline in the industrial
production. Belarus was affected the least: over the five month the
decrease reached 3.4 per cent.
Industrial production in Kazakhstan fell by 4,6 per cent, in Armenia
- by 10,5 per cent, in Tajikistan - 13 per cent. Russia's industry
was affected most of all among other countries: the production drop
reached 15.4 per cent. Kyrgyzstan' s industry reduced by 20.2 per cent,
Moldova - by 25.3 per cent and Ukraine - by 31,9 per cent.
