PARTICIPATION IN SHANGHAI EXPO - 2010 TO COST 570 MILLION AMD TO ARMENIA

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Government of Armenia approved a program
of activities for Armenia's participation in the world exhibition
"Shanghai Expo - 2010" , which will be held in China from May to
October with a slogan "Thriving city, prosperous life".
200 countries and international organizations, including CIS
member-states will take part in the exhibition.
According to estimations of the Chinese side, the exhibition will
be attended by 70 million people, which will be the highest level of
participation in the history of exhibitions.
Armenia needs 570 million AMD to got prepare for participation in
the exhibition.
This amount includes design and maintenance of the pavilion, the staff,
the publication of materials and purchase of souvenirs, delivery and
other costs.
Besides, National Day of Armenia will be held on September 21, the
Independence Day, in the framework of the exhibition.
The RA prime minister instructed the Ministry of Culture to draw
up a cultural program of the National Day of Armenia and inform the
Chinese side. He also stressed the importance of participation in of
the Ministry of Diaspora.
