Net profit of Armenian Ameriabank reaches 500mln AMD in July 2009
YEREVAN, July 4. /ARKA/. Net profit of Armenian Ameriabank reached
500mln AMD early this July, Director General of `Ameriabank' CJSC Artak
Hanesyan told reporters on Friday.
`The bank operates in the black despite some difficulties caused by
currency fluctuation in March 2009. However we managed to compensate
for the loss and come to indicator of net profit,' Hanesyan said.
According to Hanesyan net profit of Armenian Ameriabank amounted
113.6mln AMD in the first quarter of 2009, increasing by 110.2% (54mln
AMD). Pretax profits of the bank totaled 310mln AMD.
In 2009 the bank forecasts a 30% increase of its indicators.
The Ameriabank CJSC (former Armimpexbank) was established in July,
1992, as the Armenian branch of the USSR Vnesheconombank. On September
8, 1992, the Central Bank of Armenia licensed Armimpexbank.
In August 2007 the TDA Holding Limited, affiliate of the Russian Troika
Dialog, became the bank's shareholder. The bank was renamed Ameriabank
