/PanARMENIAN.Net/ There is a convergence between Washington and Moscow
in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the possibility
that the conflict could become a subject of haggling has increased,
Vartan Oskanian, the ex-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Armenia
said at the pan-Armenian conference on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and
Armenian-Turkish relations, PanARMENIAN.Net reports from Stepanakert.
According to Oskanian, Russia, USA and the EU are interested in opening
of the Armenian-Turkish border. "But they all are perfectly aware
that the border will be opened only while solving the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict," ex-Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized.
He also recalled Maindorf declaration, signed by the Presidents of
Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia on November 2, 2008 in Moscow. "The
declaration has a provision under which the conflict must be resolved
on the basis of international organizations' resolutions. But none of
those resolutions is based on the interests of the Armenian people,
" Mr. Oskanian said.
