"ARMAVIA" AIR COMPANY PLANS TO AWARD ITS 1 MILLIONTH PASSENGER BY THE END OF 2009

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Pursuant to its kind tradition developed over the
recent 2 years, Armavia air company awarded its 300.000th passenger
flying from Yerevan to Tbilisi. The lucky passenger was Nugzar
Samadashvili who was in Armenia on a business visit.
The company awarded Georgian citizen with a TV set and replaced his
ticket for business class. "I am very happy to be in Armenia. It's
a nice country with nice people," he said.
Armavia plans to award its 1000 000th passenger by the end of the
current year, company's Vice Director Rafael Avetikyan said.
Armavia air company is a member of the International Air Transport
Association. Every month it carries out 250 flights in over 30
directions, including CIS countries, Europe and Near East. In 2008,
the company transported over 647000 passengers.
Company's air park consist of A-319 (3), A-320 (2), Il-86, Tu-134
air planes.
Armavia will be the first company to acquire Sukhoi Superjet S-100
airplane by the end of 2009.
