MADRID PRINCIPLES HAVE POSITIVE AS WELL AS NEGATIVE SIDES FOR ARMENIA, ARMENIAN POLITICAL EXPERT THINKS

ArmInfo. The Madrid principles have positive as well as negative
sides for Armenia, Armenian political expert, stepan Grigoryan, said
at today's press-conference. He said that disclosing of the Madrid
principles means resumption of the negotiating process on Karabakh
settlement, and this is positive.
As for the negative sides of the mentioned principles, Grigoryan
thinks that the points which meet the interests of the Azerbaijani
party, are more specific then the pro-Armenian points. 'For instance,
one of the points says that the territories around Nagornyy Karabakh
should be returned under the control of Azerbaijan. We see this is a
very strict and clear point in favor of Azerbaijan. But let's touch
on the point which more or less meets our interests, determination of
the final legal status of Nagornyy Karabakh, there is no specification
here and it is not clear how it will take place', - Grigoryan said.
