PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN DEPARTS FOR MOSCOW TO CONDUCT DIRECT NEGOTIATIONS ON NAGORNO-KARABAKH

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Today President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev departed
for a visit to Moscow. Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Ramiz Mekhtiyev,
head of President' Administration and Hajibala Abutalibov, head of
Baku executive power accompanied him in Baku airport.
Main event of the visit will be become negotiations of I.Aliyev, Dmitry
Medvedev, President of Russia and Serj Sarkisyan, President of Armenia
within the frames of process of settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The day before of visit I.Aliyev stated that the president of Russia
personally is very active in the process of settlement of conflict,
the Russia also is very active and plays an important role together
with other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Â"After achieving progress in a negotiation process we will
not begin to resort to no military way and will assume political
obligations. However, in present conditions we can not eliminate a
military way. If we do it, Armenians generally will not want to go
away from the occupied territories," I.Aliyev said.
He noted that Azerbaijan has been in the process of negotiations
during 15 years, and its territories (20% of Azerbaijani territories)
under occupation during 20 years.
