`All archeological monuments in Nagorno-Karabakh belong to
Azerbaijan,' Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences Archeological
and Ethnography Institute Director Najaf Museibli said while
commenting on Armenian media reports on `archeological finds' by
Armenian scholars which allegedly belongs to `Tigranakert' town in
Nagorno-Karabakh.
`There have neve been any Armenian towns and monuments in
Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenians settled in Nagorno-Karabakh only after
Iran and Russia signed Turkmenchay treaty in 1828. `Tigranakert' is
another lie by Armenia. There are many ancient monuments of
Azerbaijani origin in Nagorno-Karabakh,' he said.
