ECHMIADZIN, JULY 23, ARMENPRESS: On July 20 the 13th Assembly of
Conference of the European Churches finished its works. The delegation
of Armenian Apostolic Church also took part in the summit.
Press office of the Mother See told Armenpress that besides the address
to the member churches during the CEC assembly a number of statements
have also been adopted on assessment of the rights of migrants,
promotion to the ethical principals in the financial and economic
institutions, human rights and religious freedom, denouncement of
nuclear weapon.
During the Assembly the Primate of the inter church relations
department of the Mother See Holy Echmiadzin Hovakim Manoukian has
been elected a member of CEC central committee and Shahe Ananian - a
member of the working group which must by 2013 review the instruments
of conduction of CEC mission and its charter and present the results
to the approval for the subsequent CEC Assembly.
