Armenia Fund Chair Attends Event Honoring Amb. Sarukhan
Los Angeles, CA - On Thursday June 25, 2009, Armenia Fund U.S. Western
Region Chairman, Ara Aghishian, Esq. attended a special breakfast event
honoring the Mexican Ambassador to the U.S., the Honorable Arturo
Sarukhan. The event, `Bridging the Mexican and Armenian Communities' was
jointly organized by the Mexican and Armenian Consulates, as well as the
Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Armenian American Chamber
of Commerce.
In attendance were the Consul Generals of Armenia and Mexico, community
leaders and other dignitaries. At the conclusion of the event, a special
task force was setup to better promote cooperation amongst the greater
Armenian and Mexican communities.
Armenia Fund, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation
established in 1994 to facilitate large-scale humanitarian and
infrastructure development assistance to Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.
Since 1991, Armenia Fund has rendered more than $190 million in
development aid to Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh. Armenia Fund, Inc. is
the U.S. Western Region affiliate of `Hayastan' All-Armenian Fund.
