FRENCH VOLUNTEERS CONDUCT RECONSTRUCTION WORKS IN THE LCHAP SCHOOL AND KINDER GARDEN

GAVAR, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS: 22 French volunteers conduct reconstruction
works in the secondary school and the kinder garden of Lchap community
of Gegharkunik province.
Head of the Lchap village Hayk Simonian told Armenpress that 11 of
the volunteers are Armenian young men living in Paris. The volunteers
represent the Paris "CSOE" benevolent organization the name of which
means "Committee of support to the parentless and students".
Head of the Armenian office of the charity organization Davit
Khachatrian told Armenpress that during the previous two years they
have assisted 19 kinder gardens of Yerevan and Gyumri schools.
This is the third year the volunteers come to Lchap in July each year
and conduct reconstruction works.
Head of the Paris office of the Committee Sevan Karian informed that
besides the construction works the volunteers have also organized a
camp for the children of the village where they are taught Armenian
people's dances, songs, to construct scale models from the paper,
as well as French.
According to S. Karian nearly 10 000 Euro has been invested for this
year's works.
