ISSUES CONNECTED WITH PROMOTION OF ARMENIAN-KOREAN RELATIONS DISCUSSED

YEREVAN, JUNE 3, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Foreign Minister Edward
Nalbandyan received June 2 Lee Kyu Hyung, Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Armenia.
Media relations department of Armenian Foreign Ministry told Armenpress
that greeting the guest E. Nalbandyan stressed the importance of
undertaking steps towards the promotion of cooperation between Armenia
and Korean Republic.
Ambassador Kyu Hyung underscored that the authorities of Korean
Republic give a great importance to the further enhancement of
multilateral relations with Armenia.
The interlocutors have discussed a wide rang of issues connected with
the Armenian-Korean political dialogue, trade-economic relations as
well as promotion of cultural interchanges and exchanged thoughts on
the cooperation in different international organizations.
The Korean Ambassador presented the latest developments of the Korean
peninsula connected with the ballistic rockets and implementation
of nuclear projects by the North Korea to the Armenian Foreign
Minister. In this context the Armenian FM expressed embarrassment on
the aggravation of situation in the region and expressed hope that
the efforts of international community will result in the restart
of six-sided negotiations and stabilization of the situation in the
Korean peninsula.
