The Board of American Azerbaijanis presented the first US stamp with
Shusha city featured on it.
According to Day.Az, the stamp featuring Shusha city of Azerbaijan
is now available at www.zazzle.com website. The stamp was approved
by the US national post office.
The Shusha city, located in Nagorno Karabakh, was occupied by Armenians
on May 8 of 1992. Hundreds of civilians died and about 60 were taken
hostages or went missing.
There were women and children among the killed, wounded and
hostages. Most of them have not been released yet. About 22,000 people
were turned into refugees in the result of occupation.
