ABI RAMIA: CONSPIRACY AGAINST CHANGE AND REFORM LIST IN JBEIL IS NOW COMPLETE

Maronite candidate for Jbeil Simon Abi Ramia said that the "conspiracy"
of combining the majority, the independents and the centrists in one
list to face the Change and Reform list in Jbeil is now complete. His
comments came at a press conference held on Friday by the Change and
Reform list in the Jbeil district, after the recent withdrawals of
former MPs Emile Nawfal and Mahmoud Awad from the elections.
"After all that has happened, it has become clear that the centrism
they are all talking about is just another face of March 14, and
its only enemy in the elections is Free Patriotic Movement leader MP
Michel Aoun and the Change and Reform list," Abi Ramia said.
"The efforts made by Qoreitem (Future Movement leader MP Saad Hariri's
home) and Maarab (Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea's house) are
the final attempt to marginalize Jbeil and to take control of power,"
he added.
MP Walid Khoury said that the "mask has fallen," and that the
concessional president should not be entered into the narrow political
alleys of Jbeil and Amchit.
MP Abbas Hashem, in turn, said that questions should be addressed to
those who entered the president into this issue and not to the list
(Change and Reform) that defended him from the beginning.
