"Baku continues pressure on Yerevan making use of the weakening
of Armenian on the international arena, diplomatic failures after
elections, growing helplessness in the face of the financial crisis,
said Vladimir Karapetyan, responsible for external ties of the
Armenian national congress, commenting on the Petersburg meeting
between the presidents.
"Azerbaijan is not in haste, it sees the weakening of Armenia and
continues its political pressure", announced former speaker of the
Foreign Ministry.
He said "the next, usual" meeting of the leaders of Armenia and
Azerbaijan was important for Moscow, which is proved by statements,
voiced by the Russian side that the Kremlin has no expectations about
these meeting.
The trilateral informal meeting cannot be viewed as a trilateral
meeting of the Presidents of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, like it
was in Meinedorff.
